Escuela Fronteras Students Make History PDF Print E-mail
Students from Escuela Fronteras have made history through their Chilean History and Culture program with a trip to live with a local Mapuche clan in Merilonko. The program is designed to not only understand the culture of Chile but to live it as well.

This year it included an invaluable experience to get to know a people group by living their life, eating their food and speaking with them on a meaningful level. This was not a touristic trip to see a show, but an immersion weekend into the real lives of this important culture.

Escuela Fronteras' students were the first group of foreigners to make this important visit and it cause a small media stir with Chile's nationally heard radio & TV stations as well as the local newspaper. Read what the local Chilean media had to say about the trip.

Thanks for the great instruction, wonderful food and activities. I am proud to be one of your first students. Much love to all my friends from Escuela Fronteras. See you very soon!
