Giving back is a great way to prove your adaptabilities and self-confidence while learning from another culture. Broaden your horizons, gain further linguistic and professional education and deepen your personal knowledge with Escuela Fronteras' volunteer positions. It is a great way to accomplish your goals!
Social commitment is in great demand in Latin America as social differences are still very large. Many families live in poverty and are dependent on external help. Sick and handicapped children are often rejected, do not have a home and as a consequence have to stay at hospitals or children's homes. Many old people live in nursing homes or on the streets. And sick people do not have the money to pay for the necessary surgery or medical treatment.
Experience all sides of life in Latin America and help give hope! In co-operation with different social institutions and non-profit organizations Escuela Fronteras offers a wide variety of volunteer and work projects throughout Chile. Usually you will work directly with the person concerned and be responsible for the care of sick and homeless children, handicapped or old people or support for the Mapuche; indigenous people.
