Creating and implementing a successful faculty-led event can prove to be a life changing experience for both you and your students. The benefit of an immersion program is that it goes beyond the classroom into the student's daily life. What better way to reinforce language, culture and history than being in the country where it happened! In as little as 2-3 weeks students can earn the same credits that would take them for a full semester at home.
For you as an accompanying professor, it is not always easy to judge the quality of a provider from a distance. Setting up local accommodations and group activities or scheduling local experts that your course may require takes time and local knowledge. That is where we can help. We have the local professional talent, classrooms, carefully screened homestay families and tour guides to help you create a program everyone will be talking about for years.

Chile: My first time to Chile was with a Faculty Led program. We hiked the Andes Mountains and visited the Mapuche Indians. The community was so sweet and so wonderful. That was a really memorable trip!
Escuela Fronteras: We sent over 20 students for a three week winter session. They all had a phenomenal time & did very well academically.
Memorable Quote: Chile is a place that I would love to go back to.
The Perfect Location: Santiago Chile
Safe, secure and historically significant The last few years have made it very clear that picking the correct location is extremely important. A safe stable country with historically significant culture is a must when deciding to invest the time and effort needed to create an out-of-country event. Chile is that perfect location as it has one of the most stable governments in all of Latin America.
Access to the cultural activities of a large city Don't limit your events by not having access to all the cultural activities that a large city can provide. Escuela Fronteras is only 10 minutes from the heart of Santiago in a safe and quite neighborhood. Santiago's impressive and inexpensive public transportation system provides access to the entire city & beyond.
Visit Chile's indigenous people groups Add a significant cultural element by including Latin America's indigenous people in your program. Learn how they live, their customs and culture. Your students can even spend time living among these people.
Close to the ocean, mountains & rural areas Whether your plans are to include trips to the ocean, mountains, deserts or even the fjords of Patagonia; Chile has the climate and biodiversity that you are looking for while being easily accessible from Santiago.

Free cellphone All visiting professors/teachers are provided a free local cellphone so that they can stay in constant contact with us and their home institute in case of emergencies. The safety of our visitors is of utmost importance to us.
Free professional seminars You may be coming for your students but at Escuela Fronteras we make sure that all of our academic guests also have the ability to grow professionally during their time with us. We will host a seminar on a topic that interests you to allow us to exchange ideas and teaching techniques.
